    New Projects!

Sunday, August 3, 2008, 08:52 PM CST [General]

Yes, there is a new project in the works!

Now, I've never really thought of myself as a teacher, but it's a role I've sort of fallen into and one that I feel compelled to explore.  Rowan and I have put together a Wicca 101 class that will last 13 consecutive weeks.  It will be a safe and structured learning environment for those who are just starting out and seeking to learn in a structured setting.

We've got to polish our notes a bit and see who is interested (novices only) and then we'll go from there.

Between this and working toward my own 1st degree with Coven of the Greenwood the next month or two will be interesting.  But, hey, I'm looking forward to seeing where this journey will lead.

    Lammas

Saturday, August 2, 2008, 11:15 PM CST [General]

Well, I had an excellent time at Lammas with Greenwood.
One of our lovely ladies took her dedication oath to the coven and then we had a lovely ritual afterwards celebrating the sabbat.

There has been a lot going on since picnic and even more to come.

I'm helping plan not only the Witches Ball in October, but also my wedding for the same month!

Yes, I certainly may  be crazy.  If not now then definately afterward!

    Update...

Thursday, November 8, 2007, 07:28 AM CST [General]

Well, it's been a while since my last blog.

The Witches Ball was fabulous! There were around 250 people in attendance and they

were all dressed in their finest attire.  The music and food were wonderful.  To top it all off the silent

auction was a huge success.  We had items that ranged from the mundane to the mystical.

Samhain has come and gone.  Which both saddens and delights me as it is one of my favorite

times of the year.   I love the crisp autumn air, the smell of leaves on the breeze and the sound

they make as they crunch underfoot.  I certainly did feel the thinning of the veil this year, which

makes it even more noticeable now that the connection has lessened.

To top it all off I had surgery in the last two weeks in order to remove my gallbladder!  I'm fine, but

it certainly was necessary.  The surgeon told my mother that the gallstone was the size of my

gallbladder!  OUCH! Needless to say that was not passable.

All in all a wonderfully busy time of year.
